Holistic Pathways Legal Advisors wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use this website.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, which incorporates WCAG 2.1 AA, the benchmark referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice for web accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
What we have done
- Semantic page structure with a logical heading order, landmarks and a "Skip to content" link.
- Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 against its background.
- Text that can be zoomed to 200% without losing content, and layouts that reflow on small screens without sideways scrolling.
- Form fields with visible labels, error messages that say how to fix the problem, and errors announced to screen readers.
- Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- The animated 3D background is decorative, hidden from screen readers, and stops animating when your device is set to reduce motion.
Known limitations
- Our blog articles use an earlier design and are being reviewed against the same standard.
- The 3D background needs a WebGL-capable browser. Without it, the site shows a static background and all content stays available.
